Schliersee with Spitzingsee

Schliersee and its local ski mountain at the Spitzingsee Lake are situated close to Munich. Schliersee with Spitzingsee is a classic Bavarian ski resort. Thanks to the snow reliability and the modern ski lifts, it is very popular with people from Munich.

The Spitzingsee Lake lies at 1,085 m above sea level and it is certainly frozen in winter. Around the lake there are some hotels and inns and also the Valley Station of the small but attractive ski resort . Popular spots for skiers and snowboarders are the ski areas Taubenstein and Stümpfling.

For cross-country skiers there are well-groomed some trails, too.
