Berchtesgadener Land

In the Berchtesgadener Land there are five ski areas . The most popular ones are Jenner, Hochschwarzeneck and Götschen. The first one is ideal for experts, the second one is ideal for families and the third one is a paradise for snowboarders.

For cross-country skiers and winter hikers there are many possibilities to explore the region at the feet of the majestic Mount Watzmann.
The Berchtesgadener Land is a famous venue for World Championships in sledging , bobsleighing and snowboarding ; thus its World Cup-like slopes have  become an international attraction. Skilled skiers will feel at ease, and so will beginners.

Sidenote: the management of the National Park Watzmann offers guided winter hiking, too.
